John Lewis Christmas TV Advert

As you well know, I am an absolute fiend for festivities and one of the highlights of the Christmas season is seeing the John Lewis advert come on TV each year. That snowman one in 2012? Yeah, I cried. Don't judge me.

I have just found the 2013 one on YouTube and HAD to share.

Gotta Love Lush

Fun fact for you- My first ever YouTube video back in January 2010 was a Lush Haul. It feels very comfortable to go back and make another. 

Since I had a bit of a splurge in there a few weeks back I thought I would film a good ol' fashioned Lush Haul and judging by it's views, you all seem to have enjoyed it. 

I've got a pretty special video coming up this weekend so I'm looking forward to that and hope you are too!

Disney Teaser

This coming fortnight is shaping up to be crazy busy so I fear my blog may be a little lacklustre for a few days. 

To keep things ticking over and because I can't help but be a proud mama, here is one of my favourite snaps from our family holiday to Orlando last week. I have about eight million more but I'm editing bit by bit in the evenings so be patient my pretties. 

Having now experienced the joy of Disney through a toddler's eyes I can fully see why people spend thousands of pounds to go every year and will most definitely be returning as soon as I can. Watching Darcy (or 'Princess Ariel' I should say) wave at parade characters, delight in the little rides and show everybody her new 'pincess mermaid' dress just melted my heart in every which way.

Mondays Are?

Well, Hello November. 2013 is truly flying, I wish I could slow her down for a wee bit so I could stop and catch my breath. Each month I think, 'this will be the month things calm down a bit' and each month I am proven wrong. Matt and I have HUGE plans for 2014 so I had better get used to being busy!

You may well have noticed that today is Monday and if you have, I hope you are feeling positive about it. Mondays are always a fantastic opportunity to turn over a new leaf and start afresh. I always feel excited on a Monday. 

As is Sprinkle of Glitter tradition, Monday's are a 'feature day', which means that each week we have a specific 'thing', like when we had Motivational Mondays (which ran for 25 weeks) and Monday Insights (which ran for 6). I really enjoy to have a set thing for a Monday because it starts the blog week off on a good foot and let's face it, Monday's are challenging enough without having to dream up a new blog idea!

So what shall have this time? I've decided to give you a few options and you can vote. 

If you look to the right of this page, under my picture and bio, there is a little poll you can play with a vote for what kind of post you would like to see on a Monday. I'm giving you until the 6th to cast your vote and then naturally, the option with the most votes will win. 

To give you a little more info on each option-

Home Corner :: A little glimpse into a corner of my home, how I have styled it, where the pieces are from and which bits are special. 

Baby Moment :: Sharing a little Darcy snippet and any snaps/footage I managed to capture.

Web Faves :: Showing you my current favourite blogs, websites, channels, music videos and pinterest boards. 

I can't wait to see what you pick and start the new series!!

The Best Of October

At the beginning of the month I shared some snaps HERE of the baby Zara pieces I bought for Darcy on a family shopping day. As we embrace the Autumnal weather I want to wrap her up in practical, warm pieces that still make my heart melt. I must say, 100 brownie points for Zara, I was thoroughly impressed! I only wish they came in adult sizes too! 

Next up I shared some mummy joy of watching Darcy explore our local park HERE. I love seeing her interact with other children and as she gets older I can see her own personality and interests develop. I will always appreciate days like these when I get to spend time with my family and our friends. They're the perfect pep in my step! 

I also continued with my 'Monday Insights' posts this month, answering your questions on various topics each week, you can read our discussion on education HERE. Unfortunately Monday Insights has come to an end now, but I shall be replacing it with another regular feature soon, fear not!! I hope you enjoyed the series as much as I did! 

A couple of weeks ago whilst  Zoe Chummy was visiting she took THESE snaps of Darcy which give me the warm and fuzzies inside. I love capturing Darcy moments on a big girl camera, they always look flawless and put me in creative, crafty mode. I'm thinking Christmas gifts of  Baby Glitter cuteness!



I also shared my Curvy Autumn Lookbook with you blogging folk this month HERE. After the success of my Summer Lookbook I thought I would recreate another for the colder weather. Who doesn't love a good excuse to jump around in their Auntie's garden whilst playing (safely) with sparklers!

Finally I shared some of this months iPhone snaps HERE. I love capturing little memories on my phone, whether they be at the supermarket or a blogging event. You can create perfect photography without the need of a big girl camera, so long as you have a good subject! I hope you enjoy seeing these little glimpses of my life as much as I love sharing them!

And that is all for October! Phew! I'm currently away on my holibobs in Orlando with my family, I'm sure I shall have some holiday snaps for you soon!
