Another Baby One Day?

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

In case you missed it on my YouTube channel, this week I uploaded a video answering all the questions you asked me on Twitter using the hashtag, #AskLouise.

If you are struggling to view the embedded link, click HERE to be taken to the original video. Yay.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JYHUPL5EFi8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It was really fun to just sit back and answer the things you wanted to know, even with the cat did savage my foot to shreds.

If you have any video suggestions for the next few weeks- let me know in the comments below and I will add them to my list!

Popping My Target Cherry

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you follow along on Twitter or Insta you'll know that a couple of weeks ago I went to Seattle to visit my American Bestie Marie from the YouTube channel BitsandClips.

For the entire 4 years (woah that went by fast!) of our friendship we have chatted almost every day on Skype and shared all the little bits of life that have meandered in and out. Our favourite thing to do is just, be.

We've officially physically spent time together on two occasions. Once for a week in Spring 2014 in Seattle and once for a week in Winter 2015 in Orlando (for a big trip to Disney). Both of those trips were a whirlwind of sightseeing and families and activities. This trip wasn't. It was blissful.

We decided to just have a week of hanging out, chatting, watching films, enjoying laptop club, seeing our girls play and eating waaayyyyy too many starbucks bagels. Oh my how I loved it.

One of the many 'normal' things we did was visit a Target. My first over trip. Yeah buddy! As a YouTube addict I've seen an absolute tonne of vlogs from people who go there and watched lots of hauls but had never actually had a moment to go in and enjoy it. And, who better to enjoy a place full of trinkets and joys than the person who delights in all the things like that- MARIE!

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4qw4tMkxcVw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

If you are struggling to watch the embedded link, click HERE to be taken directly to my channel.

So, $143 later we were outta there and I was confused as to how that all happened!

We had a little time before my flight home on the last day so whilst my Darcybluebird watched a film (you can just about spot her in the background), we filmed a haul video and had all the giggles.

I hope you enjoy listening to us chitchat along as much as we enjoyed filming it. I wanna do these kinds of videos every single time I see her I think.

BOOK COVER REVEAL! Life With A Sprinkle Of Glitter

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I mentioned this in a video lately but I thought it would be fun to share it here too.

In case you didn't get to see the jazzy little video, oh em gee, this is what my actual book cover will look like! I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!

It takes so much love and time and effort and (sometimes) tears to write a book, so when you see something like this, it's kind of like watching your baby walk. You just feel such a great sense of pride. Oof, my heart.

The book hits shelves on July 2nd but if you would like to get ahead of the game and pre-order it, you can click HERE for the Amazon link.

I can't wait to have my copy in my hands!

How I SHOULD Get Ready

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I'm writing this from a huugggee hotel room in Seattle (I almost wanna spend the blog post talking about the great deal I found on flights and hotels for me and Baby Glitter but that's something for another time haha), whilst Darcy has a bit of Netflix time and we wait for Marie to come and collect us for a day of fun.

I uploaded a new beauty video to my main YouTube Channel (Sprinkle of Glitter) this week and thought it would be fun to share it here whilst I had a couple of minutes to spare.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zPQM4dNrVgQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I actually filmed this a few weeks ago when I was in London for a few meetings. It's much easier to film this kinda dealio in a hotel room than my rickety little messy house. Since I stay in hotels a lot, I should probably try and do this more often!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it and had a little giggle with me.

Use your 'And' | Video

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Slowly, slowly I am falling back into blogging. It feels good. This feels like a sort of home for me. I love tiptapping away here and talking to you, I feel like you are a friendly face.

This week I uploaded a new YouTube video and incase you aren't subscribed to my channel, you can watch it here too.

I worked with a brand called 'Venus' who sell razors (and I think maybe other hair removal products but don't quote me on that!!) to share the news of their new campaign, 'Use your And'. When I heard about it way back in January I instantly loved it!! I read about a lot of beauty industry campaigns and don't often want to share them because I think they are a bit naff or not my style but this one totally is.

Filming day was great too! I was a little nervous to film this video because I haven't used my big camera in ages, have changed my room round and couldn't figure out a good set up. On top of that, Darcy was in a crazy hyper mood and Matt wasn't available to have her that day. So, fortunately, my sister came over to help me, the set up all just came together beautifully and after a few trial runs, I was really happy with the lighting! Hurrah!

If you are having trouble with the embedded version, click HERE to be taken directly to the video.

What do you think of this campaign? Is it your cup of tea?

Not Worth Watching || YouTube

Aloha Sprinkerinos,

In case you are strictly a blog reader who never ventures onto YouTube (do those people exist?? Are there people out there who actually aren't addicted to YouTube?????), I thought I would share my lastest main channel video with you here too. Yippee.

Last week I filmed a very impromptu video with my good friends Jack Howard and Caspar Lee. I was meant to be just going into the Gleam office for a meeting about the next Amity Tour (oh me oh my those plans are getting VERY exciting!!!) and then Caspar asked me to be in a quiz video he was making! I was supposed to be seeing Jack later that night so dragged him along with me and this silly little video was born.

I'd quite like to do a well planned video with Caspar soon because I really do think he's one of the funniest boys I know as well as the sweetest (but shhhh, don't tell him I told you that!), so if you have any ideas, let me know!

Enjoy the video!! If you have trouble playing the embedded link, click HERE to be taken directly to YouTube for it!

Primark Haul

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

To me, shopping is therapy. Walking round the racks and racks of brightly coloured garments, running my fingers over the textures, flicking through the hangers for my size and picking something up to decide whether I want to take it home or not. Oof. I just love it.

Over the Christmas holiday and last week I made two trips to two different Primarks and collected a few bits and pieces for our upcoming travels (more on those another day).

I made this haul video to show you the delights Primark has to offer at the moment and lots of you left lovely comments saying you enjoyed it.

Sometimes I think watching Haul videos is like the modern day equivelant to window shopping. It's addictive and I love it!

If you are unable to see the embedded version, click HERE to watch it directly on YouTube.

Do you ever shop at Primark? What do you usually buy?

Darcy Does Disney

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you read THIS post way back when last year, firstly, thank you for being a long time reader, but secondly, this week I fffiinnaaallly uploaded the video of the day!

Oh me oh my editing and uploading that was like reliving it all over again, especially since we are going back to the most magical place on earth with the BitsandClips familyin March 2015.

I remember on the holiday I hardly filmed anything (I just have these 2 vlogs) because I felt like I needed to be super present in all the moments. Whilst I do want to have those super connected moments with Darcygirl, I also wish I'd filmed more because having these visual memories are priceless. Next time, I'm going to film and snap more!

If you are struggling to view the embedded version, click HERE to watch it directly on my channel.

To the viewers that described this video as a 'hug in a vlog', I'm so with you!

Autumn Lookbook Comments

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I just wanted to drop by and say such a huge thank you for all the amazing comments you left on my recent Autumn Lookbook.

I logged into my YouTube account today to be met with this little message!

I am always so amazed at how much of a community this is. I see so many lovely things written to and about me but what really gets me is when I see the wonderful things you write to each other.

Thank you for always being so kind to me. I'm not sure I say that enough and wanted to remind you how grateful I am for you. Big, big loves.

Also, apologies for this being so short- I have a three year old desperate for me to do some colouring with her!!! Mama duties call!!! <3 p="">

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Unless you've been living under a rock, I think you'll have heard of my friend Zoe and her brand new pamper product line Zoella Beauty. You can find out more here, here and here

To celebrate the launch of this wonderful range, with the help of camera lady extraordinaire Katie Snooks and editing wizz Jack Howard, I made a Get Ready With Me (GRWM) video showing you how I styled my hair and makeup for her party.

All About That Bass || YouTube

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

You know when you find a song that you love so much you play on repeat about a squillion times a day? I have one of those.

I've already tweeted about it a couple of times because I love it so much but I thought that since the video is so pretty (I basically want every single outfit), I would share it here too.

I told a friend recently that I loved everything about this song and he said, 'I don't like it. She says, 'skinny bitches' something or other in it'. I was really disappointed that he had jumped to such a speedy assumption before looking into it properly and for this reason I'm going to include a copy of the lyrics. Note the three lines following relate to the way even the girls we perceive as 'perfect' ('skinny bitches') have insecurities and that everybody, regardless of their size or shape, is beautiful.

"All About That Bass"

Because you know
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass

Yeah, it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two
But I can shake it, shake it
Like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase
And all the right junk in all the right places

I see the magazine workin' that Photoshop
We know that shit ain't real
C'mon now, make it stop
If you got beauty building, just raise 'em up
'Cause every inch of you is perfect
From the bottom to the top

Yeah, my mama she told me don't worry about your size
She says, "Boys like a little more booty to hold at night."
You know I won't be no stick figure silicone Barbie doll
So if that's what you're into then go ahead and move along

Because you know I'm
All about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass
Hey!

I'm bringing booty back
Go ahead and tell them skinny bitches that
No I'm just playing. I know you think you're fat
But I'm here to tell ya
Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top

Yeah my mama she told me don't worry about your size
She says, "Boys like a little more booty to hold at night."
You know I won't be no stick figure silicone Barbie doll
So if that's what you're into then go ahead and move along

Because you know I'm
All about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass

Because you know I'm
All about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass

Because you know I'm
All about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass, no treble
I'm all about that bass
'Bout that bass
'Bout that bass, 'bout that bass
Hey, hey, ooh
You know you like this bass

I am constantly hoping to spread the message of self empowerment so and thrilled to see an artist producing this sort of music.

All About That Bass is available to pre-order HERE. I NEED this on my phone for my Baby Glitter walks!!

Have you heard it yet? What did you think?

The Pointless Video

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Last week my good friend Alfie Deyes bought out his brand new book- The Pointless Book.

Is is an interactive activity book where you are encouraged to play games, draw little doodles, finish off pictures, answer silly questions or do specific tasks in your life. It's a lot of fun and something absolutely worth making a video on!

Lucky for me Hazel was ready for the challenge and so we had a giggly little morning playing with the book and making a light video for you- hope you enjoy it!

Sometimes You Just #Fail

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

You know when everything just falls to pieces a little bit? Weeeellllll, that's what happened with this week's video. *sad face*

I'd been suffering with a terrible cold all week and thought, 'ohh nooooo I hate not having a Sunday video, what will I do?'. I quickly realised I had some footage from my collaboration with Jack Howard (HERE and HERE) and decided to use that. So far, so good.

I go to look for the footage, it's not there. I do that panicked clicking through every file on your desktop, even the one called 'Summer 2013', cos yanno, it might just be there, but alas, it isn't. I just have a big chunk of it that's missing the first part. Jolly good.

The choice was simple. Load up on lemsip, put more makeup on that a counter in Boots, film something rubbish and upload OR explain how rubbish I am as an intro, pop it in front of the good footage and hope the world understands.

As you'll see, I went for the latter and thank goodness, you all did.

I love you Sprinklerinos. Thank you for being so gentle with me. I need it sometimes.

Annual Stationery Haul

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Whether you're packing your bags for school/college/uni or you have an office desk adorned with every assortment of notepad and rollerball gel pen, stationery is the greatest. There is something special about crisp new sheets of paper or brand new packs of pencils that makes my heart skip and beat and to share this excitement, I uploaded my annual stationery haul this weekend.

Buying all of these goodies was quite the joy and now the hard part will be restraining myself again til next year!

I hope you enjoyed this little insight into a crazy women's desk. If you are unable to watch this embedded version you can click HERE to be taken directly to my YouTube Channel.

Summer Listings

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

You know how much I love a list? Well I'm at it again. A couple of months ago in THIS post I talked about things we have on this Summer and with July speeding past in the blink of an eye, I thought I'd update you and future plan. Mmmm it's like blog therapy to me!

June

June was so intense I felt like my feet barely touched the ground.

Watching 1D perform live, performing live ourselves on stage in NYC and attending Vidcon were all highlights.

Homey bits that melted my heart were celebrating Father's Day and watching Baby Glitter give all her love to her Dada and taking her to her first ever kiddie birthday party. Any parties we've ever had have been very family orientated so to see her running about with playgroup pals and having such a great time was lovely. There are a few shots of it in the video embedded below.

July

So far, July has been luxuriously relaxed. We got back from LA just under 2 weeks ago, Zoe and I hosted an event at the Warner Brother's Studios (which. was. amazing. HERE is the vlog) and I've spent the rest dividing my time between London, friends and family. Ideal.

Another joy this month has been kittens. Kittens. KITTENS. I wrote THIS blog post about them and uploaded THIS featuring the little fluffballs. Ooof I love them so.

Something else I've enjoyed a lot this summer has been shopping. I've always been a bit of a magpie for lovely things but this Summer I've caught the bug bad. In an effort to shop with slightly less guilt I've signed up to topcashback.co.uk which is a site full of great discounts and money saving opportunities (just gonna throw this out there- they have Mothercare and Superdrug on there-yay!!). Topcashback have kindly said that if you are a reader and you use THIS link to sign up too, you'll be gifted with a free Soap &  Glory Lid Stuff product. I actually already own this so can fully vouch for it being a little gem to have in your makeup bag. Besides, who doesn't love a freebie? Thank youuuuu!

August

August is set to be blissful (touch wood). The only things properly booked in my calendar are Summer In The City, a music festival for Matt (I'm not the wellies and tents type) and a couple of family/neighbourhood parties.

With Matt off for the Summer Holidays we are toying with the idea of vlogging every day that month. I say 'toying' because I've never successfully stuck to an entire month. Remember the fail that was Vlogmas 2013? Haha. Would you like to see a month of our summer? There is a big part of me that fancies the challenge but a little part of me that's afraid of failure.

Also this month are family birthdays, lots of stationery shopping for my annual Stationery Haul video and helping my little sister pack for university- I swear she was only a toddler five minutes ago.

And there we have it. My summer. I would be really interested to hear what you have planned, whether you have grabbed your topcashback freebie and whether you'd be interested in some daily vlogging next month!

Breaking News || Zula is a BOY!

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I wanted to share with you the video I made to show off Rocket and Zula's cuteness but just before I came to write this blog post- breaking news happened!

This morning we took the kittens to the vet to have them vaccinated, wormed, flee-d and checked over. Everything was running smoothly and the kittens were taking it in their stride when the vet said, 'And his testicles are in good health' about Zula! 'Errrr what? She's a girl kitten isn't she?'. NOPE! Zula is a boy!

We've decided to stick with the name 'Zula' and obviously love her just as much as before but it was quite the surprise and quite funny trying to explain the situation to Baby Glitter.

I just mentioned it on Twitter and was relieved to hear a lot of you have been in the same boat so I don't feel too bad haha! I guess now I'm the kitty mama of two baby boys!

Primark Goodies

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

As I promised in THIS video, here are some of my most recent Primark treats in a little more detail.

Although this pink tee is meant for snoozing, I think I'm going to make it more of a daywear item, the colour is too lovely to hide under a duvet.

I'm wearing these PJ bottoms as I type this and oh-me-oh-my they are soft and lovely.

You can never have too many cardigans in your life. Never.

I had this zip tote bag in white and navy and used it in Florida. I love that it is roomy, lightweight and secure (thank you zip), perfect for chucking your stuff in and enjoying the summer.

I'm also big on floral hair accessories right now.

Little yellow sun dress for those days when it's so hot you want to be practically naked.

I think this navy dress would be great for day or night. I love a bit of versatility.

Navy and stripes. Obsessed.

And lastly, I couldn't resist this little swimsuit for my little lady. She's turning into quite the water baby.

If you are yet to see the video, I have embedded it below.

Do you shop at Primark? What do you like or dislike about it?

Seattle | Space Needle

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

At last, the last. The last batch of Seattle photos and then I have officially shared, tweeted, blogged, vlogged, pinned and tumbl'd everything Northwestable that I had.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it was an amazing trip. To say that means something. I am fortunate enough to take a lot of trips and experience a lot of unique things but this topped them all. Seeing a new place, being loved on by new people all whilst being surrounded by the love of family was perfect. I'm already planning the next trip.

On our last night we booked tickets to go up the Space Needle and then had some easybreezykiddie time back at Marie's house. Those matching PJ's just kill me.

The best photograph of the week. There are so many things about this snap I don't like (my coat lapel flapping inwards, my open bag, Darcy covering her smile etc) that it kinda makes me love it all the more. It was a very real moment. So often I find myself posing so hard on concentrating on making something 'perfect' and then I suck the spirit outta the thing. This has all the spirit. It was just a joyful moment with two big friends and two little friends and two Husband's behind cameras (and one tiny boy in a carrier too!). The whole clan celebrating togetherness!

Yeahhhhh buddy, I put a filter on this to disguise my very minimal makeup efforts!

American Daddy of the Year goes to Ryan! That week he worked at both of his jobs (sometimes during the night) and still had time and a happy heart to come on trips and do fun stuff with us, as well as wrangling two tinies. Good job Dad!

Fonts get me. I like fonts, typography and design a LOT.

Oh and lights. I like them too.

You simply cannot force a 3 year old to smile.

Matt and I have a little tradition where every big city we go to we try and find somewhere super high. We just like high up views a LOT. So in London we went up the Shard, in New York we did the Empire State Building and in Seattle the Space Needle. Where next??

Windswept women!

Doting Daddies! Also, this was literally the best of the bunch. I took over 15 photos of this and not a single one had both girls smiling/looking/co-operating. The winner was a grimace and a shut-eye.

Back at home we had matching PJ sets and playtime. Once more, Marie and I learnt that 3 year olds are 3 year olds and not professional photo posers.

They gots a lotta love though!!

And there we have it! Our week in photos!

Seattle | Playground Adventures

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

A new week, a new lease of life and a new sense of motivation.

Today and Wednesday I will be wrapping up all the Seattle Snaps and then it will be time to move on to the next adventure.

Editing through all these photographs has been so much fun. There are so many that I want to frame and have the memories last forever.

This set of snaps are from a playdate at the park and from when Matt, Darcy and I had a little mooch around Downtown on our own. Enjoy!

Miss Scarlet rocking that pink tutu.

Best buds.

 Lights and lines.

Thank goodness for buggies, your personal trolley, table and lean-on-thing!

 Happiness up and happiness down.

Going through all these photographs makes me really glad I lugged my big girl camera around so much and has motivated me to take it more places. I do love using it.

What was your favourite picture?
