Primark Haul

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

To me, shopping is therapy. Walking round the racks and racks of brightly coloured garments, running my fingers over the textures, flicking through the hangers for my size and picking something up to decide whether I want to take it home or not. Oof. I just love it.

Over the Christmas holiday and last week I made two trips to two different Primarks and collected a few bits and pieces for our upcoming travels (more on those another day).

I made this haul video to show you the delights Primark has to offer at the moment and lots of you left lovely comments saying you enjoyed it.

Sometimes I think watching Haul videos is like the modern day equivelant to window shopping. It's addictive and I love it!

Primark Goodies

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

As I promised in THIS video, here are some of my most recent Primark treats in a little more detail.

Although this pink tee is meant for snoozing, I think I'm going to make it more of a daywear item, the colour is too lovely to hide under a duvet.

I'm wearing these PJ bottoms as I type this and oh-me-oh-my they are soft and lovely.

You can never have too many cardigans in your life. Never.

I had this zip tote bag in white and navy and used it in Florida. I love that it is roomy, lightweight and secure (thank you zip), perfect for chucking your stuff in and enjoying the summer.

I'm also big on floral hair accessories right now.

Little yellow sun dress for those days when it's so hot you want to be practically naked.

I think this navy dress would be great for day or night. I love a bit of versatility.

Navy and stripes. Obsessed.

And lastly, I couldn't resist this little swimsuit for my little lady. She's turning into quite the water baby.

If you are yet to see the video, I have embedded it below.

Plus Size OOTD | Midi Dress and Bow Belt

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

We have discussed it before but I am plus size. Fat, chubby, cuddly, bigger boned, call it what you like, the fact of the matter is I am a size 18 and feel relatively alright about this. As that lovable rouge Honey Boo Boo (google her) would say, 'I'm size CUTE' hahaha.

Lately I have been buying, wearing and LOVING midi length clothes. I find them to be so flattering and so comfortable (no worrying about thigh cellulite showing for me!) and also I find that I feel quite confident in them in a, 'I don't need to show off all my flesh to be sexy or attractive' way.

Denim 3/4 Sleeves Jacket - Primark (last season)
Red Bow Belt - Primark
Gold Bobble Necklace - Accessorize
Coral Heels (Also worn HERE) - Newlook

I don't know about you but I find that I make so much more effort with my outfits in the Summer. In the Winter it seems to be just a matter of putting on as many clothes as possible but still being able to move, but now the warmer weather is upon us I feel like getting dressed is 'a thing'.

I absolutely love this outfit today. It can be dressy or casual and could take you from day to night (trust me, I've done it) and because the dress is cotton you feel like you are wearing jimjams! Also, since the dress (HERE) was only £25 and I have already had SO much wear out of it, I'm declaring it a bargain!

I wrote/photographed quite a few OOTD's last year so if you would like to take a looksie, here are some of my favourites ::

What key fashion pieces are you loving this summer? Where do you find most fruitful to shop?

Please do let me know in the comments but a polite request- Please don't just write 'Amazing Post!' and then leave your blog link. There are repeat offenders of this that just write that on everyone's blogs so they can spread their link about, without even reading the post and it's rude. I'm all for leaving your blog as your signature if you have written a proper, relative comment because it enables me (and others) to find you and you're being part of the community, but please don't just spam and go. It leaves a very bad taste and only reflects poorly on you. There, consider yourself told off and behave in future- thank you!! x

Huge Spring Primark Haul

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I love Primark. I have loved it for years- dare I even say, since before it was 'cool'?

I tend not to do a quick 'pop in' shop to Primark and prefer to save up, wait until they have replenished stock and have a big spree about once every 3-4 months. If I'm honest, it's more like every three but I want to cut down and make it just a seasonal thing.

My favourite branches are Liverpool (four stories and a brilliant shoe & bag section), Manchester (although seems to get really messy really quickly) and Milton Keynes (it's brand new and shiny). I'm not keen on either London store but I think that's because I always travel by train to the big smoke so the thought of taken a few big Primark bags on the train gives me shivers. I have also visited the Northampton and Birkenhead stores but thought they were pretty average. I have heard the Bristol branch is great. A little summary for you there!

My favourite thing from this haul was the emerald green pleated maxi skirt which I am wearing as I type. I have only had it a matter of days and already worn it four times. I think it might become that piece of clothing that I wear to absolutely everything- it's love for sure.

What is the best thing you have ever bought from Primark?

Baby Style || Spy Mac and Studs

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Last week Matt and I had a mooch round Milton Keynes to fill a few hours and I picked up a couple of bits of Baby Glitter that I simply couldn't not share.

I buy her so many nice things (naughty Mummy), that I have decided to try and do a few of these Baby Style posts over the next few months. The real challenge is getting her to stand still for a moment!!

Baby Style

Rustic Flower Clips :: Accessorize Angels
Purchased years ago

Beige Mackintosh :: Zara Baby
£22.99

Indigo Jeggings :: Primark
£4

Studded Tan Plimsoll :: Zara Baby
£17.99

What I love most about this outfit is the tiny bows on the sleeves of the coat. I have a jacket very similar and think the little bows give the item a more babylike feel to it, which is nice. I bought it a wee bit big because Baby Glitter grows like a sunflower and I'd like her to enjoy it for as long as possible. The lining inside is light blue quilting.

The jeggings are also great. I have bought the same pair (but smaller) in the past and Darcy finds them comfortable and easy to play in. Now that she is so active, I really want her to not be in the least bit restricted by her clothes. Tots need to be free!

If this is a feature you'd like to see on a more regular basis, I'll be sure to take close up photographs of the garments too so you can get a real feel for them.

Where is your favourite place to buy little people clothes? Do you half wish you could fit in an 18-24 months just so you could wear that coat? I think I do!

Curvy OOTD || Bright White

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I wore this outfit a little while ago to a friend's BBQ and was pleased as punch at how many people said I looked nice. I wanted to take some photos of it, but since the moon was coming out to play and the sun was going to bed, I had to use the flash, which I know isn't always idylic. Oh well, I can't control astronomy.

This white skirt was from ASOS and in the sale for under £10 which was brilliant. Sometimes ASOS can be a bit poopy in quality but this feels lovely, really sturdy if you will.

The vest was from H&M, the mint bag from Primark and the shoes from New Look. The cat was already there. Tehe.

I've always been a bit uncertain about wearing white because I have 'black is slimming' engraved in my brain, but really, white is doable. As long as you wear clothing that fits and flatters/suits your body shape, it is absolutely an option for you!

I'm not off to spend a few more pennies in the ASOS sale- oops!!

Glitter Encrusted Shoes of Joy

Aloha Sprinklerios,

Are you ready to swoon? I hope so.

I wasn't planning on blogging today as I am technically on holiday with family, but we popped into Primark in Liverpool and I struck gold. I bought a pair of shoes so very, very special, that I had to photograph them immediately (my in-laws neighbours probably thought the woman kneeling on the drive taking pictures of shoes was slightly nutto) and blog about them straight away. They are just THAT good.

Multi Coloured Glitter Shoes

These heels make my heart skip a beat. They are everything I would want in a pair of 'going out' shoes.

They are high so your legs will look oh-so-sexual, they have an inbuilt platform so the balls of your feel won't burn and they are 100% smattered in GLITTER!!!!! God I love that sparkly stuff so much.

That's right, I did lay on the drive to get this close up. You're welcome.

In my bedazzled eyes, these shoes will go with EVERYTHING. Imagine these with tanned legs and a LBD. Imagine these with disco pants (not on my body though! Yikes!). Imagine these with a red christmas dress. Imagine these with your pj's if you must, they are simply the best shoes ever.

If you aren't one for glitz, then yes, I can see how these might strike you as a little OTT, but to me, they are like shoes of the gods and I now cannot wait to over wear them!

They were £16 from Primark today, so they should still be in stock near you, if not, I have found some very very similar ones HERE on ebay (and they'll ship internationally too). Good old bay of e.

Rightio, I'm off to the cinema now (hmm would these be too much with leggins? haha) but I couldn't not share these with you.

Are you a fan of dazzling footwear? You'd better be *shakes fist* ;)
